Sometimes Saying Yes means Saying No

Saying yes to hosting Thanksgiving? Yes to coaching the volleyball team? Yes to making homemade treats for your kids’ teachers? Yes to joining your friend’s book club? And even yes to organizing your garage?

Whatever you say yes to, just remember that you’re most likely saying no to something else.

Maybe that means saying no to… making a homemade meal. working out at the gym that day. spending extra time with the kids. or even some personal time for yourself.

We only have 24 hours in a day, no matter how much we wish for more. So, use your time wisely and just like choosing items you want to keep; choose things you want to do in your life.

Saying yes to things is not bad or wrong, it’s just a choice. No matter what choice you make, have your own back. Before jumping straight to a yes, give a little thought to what you may be sacrificing to achieve that yes.

Be confident in your choices and most importantly, take charge of how your time and energy is spent.

Choose how you live you life and love it. Happy Thanksgiving, my friend. I’m grateful for you!
