Quality over Quantity

Quality over Quantity.

But do we actually put it into practice when it comes to our stuff?

Now, don’t get me wrong, I know that prices don’t necessarily reflect the quality of an item, but as I’ve aspired in my journey to living a more minimalist lifestyle, I can attest that owning less, but higher quality items are worth every penny spent.

I’ll never forget years ago my Mother-in-Law telling me that a dinner salad tasted better in a nice serving dish. The other day, I took a look at my modge-podge stack of multi-colored bowls and decided that it was time to invest in a high quality salad bowl.

And do you know what?

The salad didn’t just look better in my new beautiful bowl, but my Mother-in-Law was right, I actually thought it tasted better too!

Was it some magic this bowl had over the ingredients or simply the satisfaction of living with less mixing bowls and more items of quality?

Since that day, I’ve continually set my eyes to look for classic, timeless, and durable items for my home.

Does this mean we ought to rampage through our house and toss anything that we bought from Walmart?

Or start shopping for a Gucci handbag?

Not at all.

It simply means we can set a higher standard of what we surround ourselves with.

Consider how less quantity and more quality can alter the way you live in a positive way?
